Creamy Chocolate Oatmeal


An easy, comforting, delicious breakfast that's perfect for cold chilly mornings. If you love dessert for breakfast, this is the recipe for you!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Extra Thick Rolled Oats

  • 1 Cup Filtered Water

  • 1 Cup Almond Milk

  • 1 Large Ripe Banana - Sliced

  • 2 Tablespoons Cacao Powder

  • ½ Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

  • ¼ Teaspoon Celtic Sea Salt

  • ¼ Teaspoon Cinnamon

Optional Maple Syrup or other sweetener of choice.


Method:

  • Combine the oats, milk, water, and vanilla in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.

  • Reduce heat to low, add the banana, salt, cinnamon, and cacao powder.

  • Stir well, cover, and let it cook stirring occasionally.

  • After 10 minutes you should have a thick consistency, you may leave it on for longer for an even thicker, creamier, consistency.

  • Serve with desired toppings; we used banana, creamy almond butter, more cinnamon, and some rice crispies. Enjoy! tried this recipe? don't forget to drop a comment and photo below!

Chefs Notes: If Banana doesn't do it for you, you can add any other sweetener of choice.
